Dear Liberal Arts faculty member:

The ____________ semester [_______ summer session] is nearing the halfway point.  If you have students on your rosters who are not attending and/or are in danger of failing, you can use this online form to notify them of their standing:

Absence Failing Report:

https://utdirect.utexas.edu/ns/ns.unique.WBX

Why use this online form?

--You will be reaching out to the struggling student in a timely fashion.

--You will document the situation on the student's record.

--Should something later be determined to be a registration error, your note could provide evidence about the

    situation.

--Students still have time to Q drop your course (with your permission) through ______ .

If you have any questions, please let me know or contact an advisor in your department or in the Student Division.

Associate Dean for Student Affairs
