The College of Liberal Arts encourages faculty members to use the Absence/Failure Reporting System as a regular feature of class management. The Absence/Failing Report can be found online at https://utdirect.utexas.edu/ns/ns.unique.WBX .

Why use this online form?

--You will be reaching out to the struggling student in a timely fashion.

--You will document the situation on the student's record.

--Should something later be determined to be a registration error, your note could provide evidence about the

    situation.

--Students still have time to Q drop your course (with your permission) through ______ .

If you have any questions, please contact an advisor in your department or in the Student Division, 471-4271.
