The university holds a campus-wide commencement ceremony at the end of the spring semester. Each college and school also holds a commencement ceremony in the spring, and many hold graduation exercises in the fall. Since no graduation ceremonies are held in the summer, students who graduate in the summer may attend commencement in the fall semester (if the college or school holds a ceremony) or in the spring. Students should consult with their academic advisor early in the semester of graduation for information about commencement activities and procedures.
In spring the college hosts several ceremonies, including those for the larger majors and a combined ceremony for smaller majors. In the fall the college has a single, combined ceremony.
